STYLING LONDON FASHION WEEK SS19

I had the pleasure of attending some shows during London Fashion Week. The event for those of you not in the know, showcases clothing items, looks and accessories the fashion industry believes we should all be stocking or wearing for the spring summer season of 2019.
Now that “fast fashion” is truly with us and is most likely hear to stay, it really doesn’t matter about the traditional suggested planning strategies, as these days, people can purchase catwalk looks minutes after seeing a show, or at worst a day later.
As I have been doing for more than 15 years with London, I have been documenting the style of the attendees. Street Style as it has come to be known as these days. So there was lots of that. Maybe a touch too much. Oh! the aching joints and bones! A long rest is much welcomed and needed.

I had the pleasure of working with my muse, the lovely Harper Silin who everyone commented on her looking amazing. Myself included. It is always a pleasure to see your work realised and in action, also for me fun to see reactions and listen to peoples comments as a stunning woman walks by, and twirls in front of the world’s fashion press and media, commanding everyones attention, you secretly, discretely, knowing that’s your hard work their praising and talking about.

Working with the cool super stylish diminutive one, a fashion loving blogger, buyer, brand PR and influencer, “born in fashion, made in China”, it’s always a pleasure. You start off with a consultation or meeting to plan and discus objectives. What’s the aim or goal. Then there’s the likes and inspirations. What influenced you previously or recently.
Then comes the fun part. What every woman likes since childhood. Playing dress up.
Putting together looks that fit those objectives, working closely with Harper who is so tiny, but has a big heart and personality that, and is so explosive with energy at times. We managed to come up with 4 looks of which, Harper wore 2. One on day one, and the other on day four at the prestigious Burberry show.
Use of items from my carefully curated archive of vintage fashion items was essential, and integral in creating these looks. Many thanks to OSMAN for their incredible statement piece, a green cut out skirt, that fits our style princess perfectly. She loves it and all you folks at the luxury brand.

There were another two women I styled for London Fashion Week. Freya Sinyu Siu from China, another super stylish woman with a distinctive uniqueness to her style. The other woman was Los Angels based Video Producer Cindy Martin.
Many thanks to you all. Here are some of the looks created and worn during LFW during September 14th – 18th 2018. See you next time around.
