STREET STYLE LFWM JUNE 2019

It’s been a while since I’ve posted some street style. I usually post it on my dedicated street steer style blog JSTREETSTYLE, but thought I’d share this one with you all.

London Fashion Week Mens was only the one day experience this time around for me, but what a day. For once am not going to post images of cool looking dudes in a whistle & flute, suits to you non Cockney Londoners. This post features regular cool people with individuality of some kind that I like and admire.

Starting off with a cool visual artist that is so impressive and skilled. Her name is Monzie Terri and her brand is Euqinom7Designs. She’s only just warmed up now. Wait until she really starts sprinting with her concetps and designs, but she sure is impressive.
Like clubbing, cyberpunk, partying and looking for something different but functional. then get in touch with her. You will be hearing about her in the future I can assure you. You might notice the legendary Japanese designer Mishiko Koshino, who had this cool presentation that her presence was an integral part of. An interesting fun and playful concept.

WHITBY GOTH WEEKEND OCT 2017

Whitby Goth Weekend. The biannual Goth culture and fashion gathering is the 2nd largest of its kind in the world, and took place on October 27th – 29th 2017 in the North Yorkshire fishing town. The origins of the Goth festival is said to be based around the town that writer Bram Stoker penned the famous story of Dracula, drawing inspiration from the great Gothic Abbey looking down upon Whitby. More than two decade back in the mid to late 1990s, two lone Goths dwelled within Whitby. With nothing much going on at the time, and the reputation of “the only Goths in the village”, they hatched a great plan to invite friends to a Goth gathering, and the rest as they say is history.

As per usual, my focus in documenting this amazing event is that of fashion and individual style, and its interpretation. I first encountered the WGW back in 2007 in a super cool Japanese fashion magazine called Kera.

PARIS FASHION WEEK SS 2018 Part 2

We’ll forego the usual update to bring to you, the latest Footsie Index.

In this particular forecast, we catch a glimpse of dark suede cutout boots from Giuseppe Zanotti, with a flash of monograms from Louis Vuitton heading up the rear. Earlier, sightings indicate the bold black offerings with an underlay of gold from Charlotte Olympia. Even in the rainy seasons to come, Chanel offers a silver lining and a glittery outcome that will not just sit around ones ankles. With a foot of pure gold non moving, one can occasionally feel or perceive a general darkness from the likes of Givenchy, but it does present itself with a certain sense of style, just like all the others featured.

PARIS FASHION WEEK SS 2018 Part 1

PARIS FASHION WEEK SS 2018 by JSTREETSTYLE
Those narrow cobbled stone streets are a calling. They tap you on the shoulder
to command your attention. “Over hear” they discretely whisper in your ear.
Unless that is you are in a car, then it’s screamed or shouted out of the window in no uncertain terms. The point is, one is invited to look where one wound not normally.
For then you might catch sight of the goings on. Not those goings on.
No! It’s Paris after all. That’s always happening.
We mean the sights of the super stylish stepping out of a car, walking up the road,
bag swaying, heels clicking, dress swaying and swishing, and it is indeed a sight and a spectacle worth an encounter of ones time, should you happen across it during the weak when all descend upon Grand Paris, for what she has up her sleeve as a teaser to the grand shows behind huge closed doors, only accessible to the elite, which is what Paris loves most. Le Discretion.

But as you all know, and coming back to our original point, it’s outside on the street where all the real action takes place and it is viewable, obtainable, if you know how, when and where, and if not, then we’ll bring it to you.

Here is a small taste of what is to come, what we liked and wanted to share.

LONDON FASHION WEEK SS 2018 PART 1

Once again it’s that time of the year, when all flock to London in mid September
for its hallowed ornate halls, and for the fashion shows, presentations, spectacles
and inspiration that dwells within, for its global community of dedicated followers
of fashion.
The world famous inviting summer weather with its rain, grey skies and chill to the
bone air entice you into the charmed dwellings of each show, that is until you can
get back to your hotel room and snuggle up to the UK’s famed bizarre TV ads,
and much welcomed central heating. Who hasn’t turned on their heating yet?

The Merry Go Round of ever changing venues is a constant workout, for the calf
muscles in a pair of statement heels, slides or mules, should you not rock up
in one of London’s finest gabby black taxi cabs enlightening you with the latest
on Brexit or classic “Never guess who I had in the back of my cab a the other day?”

Back for more of the same and a big welcome to you all for that each season.
We do welcome you, we really do, although it can be in a rather strange and
bizzare fashion.

The catwalk shows and presentations across the city has fuelled passion and
much talk, of what is to come as well as what can I have now, with several
shows having the new (fast fashion) model of see now buy 5 minutes later.
What interest us at Pat Lyttle’s JSTREETSTYLE are the other catwalk of presentations
taking place on the street outside the various show venues and across town.
So, let us bring you the first limps, a small taster of some of the style and excitement
from the streets during #LFW London Fashion Week SS 2018.
In London during the week of September 15th – 19th 2017.
